Say Cheese!

Since a fair amount of DS106 involves photography, I wanted to compile a list of blogs I read regularly that also have great tips on taking photos, editing, etc.  So, in no particular order:

1. Fernweh Magazine – This site is designed and managed by a group of young girls whose talents and skills blow me away each time I visit the site.  The graphic design is incredible and the fact that it is done by individuals with no professional training inspires me to make my own blog better (eventually).  This link will take you to a tutorial for double exposure editing.  It is really straightforward and I can’t wait to try it myself.  There is a tab on Fernweh’s homepage for more posts about photography.

2. Bower Power – Katie Bower loves photography almost as much as she loves bacon.  Check out her photography page for awesome information, tutorials, and tips.  Her blog is about life with her husband and toddler while she renovates their new home.  Gosh I love DIY.

3. Enjoying the Small Things – Kelle Hampton’s blog is chalk full of photos and they are all gorgeous.  This page has her FAQs about photography and there’s lots of helpful tidbits, like how to get larger pictures imported into your blog.

4. Bakerella – The amazing individual behind the Cake Pops sensation.  Angie Dudley gives the scoop on what’s in her camera bag.  Check out this site for great recipes, adorable cake pops, and so

5. The Pioneer Woman – Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman, might be my hero.  She can do just about anything and she does it all with a sense of humor.  Her photography page is one crazy helpful source.  You’ll find tutorials, photo challenges, editing information, and pretty much endless sources of inspiration.  I said these sites weren’t in any particular order but it’s possible I saved the best for last.

Now it’s your turn – do you know of any helpful sites for photography?  Leave a comment and link it below!

I don’t have any helpful site suggestions, I just <3 Pioneer Woman. Her photography is awesome, but her blackberry cobbler is even better!
